Sisters of Swim
Featuring world champion swimmers Cate and Bronte Campbell, includes paintings, photographs and graphic works.
This work addresses how national and international cultural movements and individual identities influence and challenge one another. I’ve focused my attention on athletes, and look at the various pressures they’re subjected to, as well as how media and culture use athletes to epitomise ideas and social constructs.
Individual works shown at: The Morris Art Prize (2018), The Border Art Prize (2018).
Awards: Portrait of Cate Campbell, semi-finalist Doug Moran National Portrait Prize (2017)
